iOS 7 Beta 5 released to Apple developers

iOS7-beta5-logo_A new beta of iOS 7 has been released today by Apple, less than 10 days since the release of Beta 4. Developers with active developer accounts with Apple are able to download and install this update via an over-the-air update process.

It’s been noted that this release brings numerous bug fixes and redesigned icons. As previously touted by Apple, you can now use iOS7 to setup a new Apple TV via bluetooth.

A forum poster has offered numerous enhancements and changes to this release. They are listed below.

– New Slide to Power Off
– On/Off Switch for Labels in Accessibility
– Can access icons during animation in folders
– Updated in call buttons
– Trash moved in mail to right side
– No more unlocking sound
– Performance enhancements animation tweaks system wide (ie receiving notification will now darken instead of blur on lock screen)
– Pull down banner on push notifications
– Headset controls on headphones now working again
– You can download your specific language dictionary after you define a word
– Twitter and Skype now working
– Install screen and Boot screen same color as your phone now (white iPhone has black apple logo and white background)

This leads up to the eventual release of iOS 7 for public consumption. Speculation persists that the software will be released before the second week of September.
